The Michigan State
Legislature is making cuts to the Department of Community Health budget which
will affect some members of the bleeding disorders community, perhaps you or
your loved ones!
Up to
15,000 19- and 20-year-olds in Michigan could
lose their Medicaid health insurance under a proposal passed by the Michigan Senate on March
25th. The Senate-passed bill, SB 1094, eliminates Medicaid coverage for
young adults ages 19 and 20, including vulnerable young people leaving the
state�s foster care system. The bill will now be considered by the Michigan House of
Representatives, with the House Appropriations Subcommittee for the Department
