Your Mission in Motion
HFM received a second year of funding from the National Hemophilia Foundation allowing us to continue to offer additional support services to our community. This grant provides support and educational services to areas of the state that do not traditionally have access to HFM programs due to distance or availability.
What does that mean for people living in
Kalamazoo
,
Grand Rapids
and
Traverse City
? It means that your HTC will be providing complimentary parent support dinners throughout this year in your local area. Parents will have an opportunity to meet with HTC staff and other parents share experiences and to learn even more about bleeding disorders.
Dinners will resume in September.
REMEMBER TO DO THE FIVE
- Treat bleeds early and adequately
- Exercise regularly to protect your joints
- Get tested for blood borne pathogens
- Visit your HTC annually for better health
- Get vaccinated against Hepatitis A and Hepatitis B
