HFM's hosts an annual state legislative day, Lansing Day, for constituents to educate their legislators on the needs and special interests of the bleeding disorders community.

In the current political climate, changes to health care have been front and center for people with chronic conditions. More than ever, it is imperative that the bleeding disorders community stays engaged in the political process.

So, get involved and join HFM as we travel to the state capital to advocate for our community! This will be a two-day event, free of charge!

Tuesday, May 23 at 6pm:
Dinner and training at the Kellog Hotel and Conference Center in East Lansing.
Teens will enjoy a separate training together on media literacy.
*Teens 13-17 welcome to attend with out a parent/guardian!

Wednesday, May 24th at 9am:
Attend meetings with state legislators.

Please help us speak up for our community.

If you have any questions, please contact Sarah Procario, Advocacy|Communications Manager at sprocario@hfmich.org or 734-961-3516!

*This is an industry sponsored event. HFM does not endorse any specific product or company.

Participation guidelines:

HFM's Lansing Day provides community members and loved ones directly impacted by bleeding disorders the opportunity to share their stories and perspectives with Michigan legislators. Industry involvement will be limited to Lansing Day sponsorship opportunities rather than legislative visits.

If your company is interested in sponsoring this event, please contact HFM's Philanthropy Director, Gwyn Hulswit, at ghulswit@hfmich.org.

HFM recognizes that many of our industry representatives are also community members. If you are an industry employee directly impacted by a bleeding disorder you have the option of participating with Lansing Day via sponsorship provided by your company OR as a consumer. Your participation is outlined in the sponsorship document.
