Join HFM’s women’s group, the Ruby Connection, at 7-8pm on the fourth Tuesday of each month. Adult women in the bleeding disorders community come together for online social experiences that include an educational speaker or activity and connection with other women in the community. The group is open to women affected with a bleeding disorder or involved in the bleeding disorder community.
TOPIC: Yoga is for Every Body
Join Sarah Procario, a certified 200 hour yoga teacher, and Sherry Herman-Hilker, a hemophilia treatment center physical therapist, to explore the wide benefits of a yoga practice.
We will open with a discussion on ‘What is Yoga?’ and how to safely approach a physical practice. We will then move into a guided yoga class that celebrates everyone’s capabilities. Yoga is a practice that can be modified, altered, and transformed into the practice that best supports you and your life. We hope you will join us for the hour to connect with yourself and those around you.
*Please wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely.
Yoga mats are not required; however we do suggest clearing space on the floor for you to practice.
Speakers:
Sherry Herman-Hilker, PT, MS, Physical Therapist, University of Michigan Hemophilia Treatment Center;
Sarah Procario, CYT 200, Tiny Buddha Yoga
