Days for Girls Work Day and Potluck

THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELLED

In light of the current global pandemic, the Days for Girls Work Day and Potluck has been cancelled.

Instead, the Ypsilanti MI DfG Team will be working from home to support Days for Girls International to make cloth Masks 4 Millions. Though there is no data yet to support this, cloth masks may both act as a non-sterile physical barrier to person to person droplet transmission and as a good reminder from touching oneā€™s face.Ā You can learn more here.

If you would like to participate in the effort to make masks for your local area, you can view a mask making tutorial from JoAnn Fabric’s here. Please note one change to these directions, we are using two different fabrics so the inside and outside are easily identifiable. I have added 1/4 inch to the dimensions so cut fabric is 9″x6 1/4″.

Please follow precautions when delivering masks to family, friends, and hospitals, and arrange to mail or drop off without direct contact with others.
