CAMP BOLD EAGLE
- KIDS AGES 6-17
Spending a few weeks of your summer at Camp Bold Eagle is a rewarding and demanding job that can change your life forever.
HFM camping programs rely on experienced volunteers to provide a safe and positive camp experience for our campers. Individuals interested in volunteering must be at least 18 years of age; past camp experience is desirable but not required. Volunteers have direct contact with campers and staff members, so they must be able to interact positively with both groups. Responsibilities may include; participating in the daily camp program along with their assigned cabin, assisting in the implementation of evening activities, participating in campouts, and assisting cabin counselors with facilitating routines or schedules for their assigned cabin.
Medical volunteers are a significant part of the camp programs. The health and wellness of the entire camp rests with the medical personnel. A major portion of a medical volunteer’s task is to educate campers about their bleeding disorders, and its complications, while teaching them to manage their disorder throughout their lives. Medical personnel are also relied upon to be the front-line people observing and handling camper and staff health concerns.
COUNSELOR-IN-TRAINING PROGRAM
Counselors-in-Training, or CITs, are an important part of life at Camp Bold Eagle. Former campers exhibiting strong leadership skills can apply for the specially designed training program which acts as a stepping stone to a full staff position. CITs learn about positive behavior management, relating with other staff on a professional level and maintaining a safe and happy environment for campers.
CIT training takes place at Pioneer Trails Camp, beginning before the regular staff orientation and coincides with the Camp Bold Eagle sessions.
- TEENS AGES 16+17

EAGLE OUTPOST
- TEENS AGES 14+15
Eagle Outpost staff members play a vital role in the development of campers during some of the most influential years of their lives. Outpost is a great opportunity to help develop young leaders in the bleeding disorder community.
Eagle Outpost is a traveling camp that moves from site to site. Therefore, applicants must be willing to sleep in tents with staff of the same gender and must be willing to assist campers in outdoor skills (i.e. tent assembly and campfire cooking). It is desirable, but not required that applicants have at least one year of experience as staff at Camp Bold Eagle.
