HFM is Cancelling SpringFest 2020 in Light of the Coronavirus

The health and safety of our Michigan bleeding disorders community is our top priority. HFM has been closely monitoring the evolution of COVID-19 to ensure appropriate actions are taken.

In light of the growing concern of spread of COVID-19 within Michigan, HFM will be cancelling SpringFest on April 3-5, 2020 at the Amway Grand Hotel in Grand Rapids.

After conversations with stakeholders, healthcare professionals, and the Amway Grand, we believe cancelling SpringFest is the best option to reduce the risk of exposure of COVID-19 to our community. This has been an incredibly difficult decision as we know the value this conference brings to hundreds of community members each year.Ā We will refund registration fees as requested or people are welcome to consider this a donation to HFM.

HFM is committed to continuing to provide educational programming and supportive services to our community members.Ā HFM is working with our community sponsors, presenters and others to consider potential alternatives to share educational information. We will continue to monitor this rapidly changing situation and make all adjustments needed to protect our community.

To request your refund, please email Laura Olson atĀ lolson@hfmich.org.

Warmly,
Jim Mohnach, HFM Board President
Susan Lerch, HFM Executive Director; US HTC Network Great Lakes/V-East Regional Director
