Sharing Our Stories: Celebrating Bleeding Disorders Awareness Month

Michigan community members are invited to join us for an interactive story telling experience on Tuesday, March 16 to celebrate Bleeding Disorders Awareness Month.

HFM’s social work intern, Angela Beebe, will guide us through a life map activity to support us in identifying significant moments in our lives. We will then learn how to translate our life maps into written personal stories we can use to advocate for the needs of ourselves and the entire bleeding disorders community.

We hope you will join us to celebrate, reflect, and take action for a brighter future.

Materials:

  • White printer paper or any paper you have available
  • Crayons, markers, or other decorative instruments
  • A printable, fillable map

HFM will treat attendees to dinner during this educational program.
Order carryout or delivery and send a photo of your itemized receipt to Laura at lolson@hfmich.org. You will be reimbursed for your meal (up to $30 per family). Please note that we are unable to reimburse alcohol purchases.

This event will take place on Zoom meeting. We hope you will join and participate with your camera’s on.

No industry sponsors will be present.
