Lansing Days

HFM continues to recommend vaccinations/boosters and use of masks as preventative measures against the spread of Covid-19. However, we will no longer require proof of vaccination to attend in-person events.

Please save the date for HFM’s legislative advocacy event, Lansing Days!
Tuesday, March 21 and Wednesday, March 22, 2023.

As the cost of health care rises and cost sharing shifts to patients, it is remains critical that our community continues to share our voice with decision-makers in Lansing. This year, there are over 60 newly elected legislators in Lansing who may be unfamiliar with bleeding disorders and patient needs.

We hope YOU will join us in educating the new legislature on bleeding disorders by sharing your unique stories.

WHAT TO EXPECT
HFM will provide a dinner and legislative training on Tuesday evening. On Wednesday, participants will travel in groups to meet with their elected representatives to discuss the needs of the bleeding disorders community.
Specific policy issues to be discussed will be determined closer to the event date.

  • This event is free of cost.
  • All members of the Michigan bleeding disorders community, including family members and community advocates, are invited to register to attend.
  • Applications close February 24, 2023.

Please be aware that there is a possibility that Lansing Days may be rescheduled. If any changes occur, HFM will reach out to all participants directly.
