HFM Ruby Connection: Mandala Drawing

Join HFM’s NEW women’s group, the Ruby Connection. Alternating between noon-1pm and 7-8pm the fourth Tuesday of the month, adult women in the bleeding disorders community will come together for an online social experience that will include an educational speaker or activity and connection with other women in the community. The group is open to women affected with a bleeding disorder or involved in the bleeding disorder community. There is no obligation to attend every month, come when you can.

TOPIC: Mandala Drawing

Learn how to draw beautiful mandala designs with one of the bleeding disorder community’s own artists, Amar Haidar.

Materials:

  • pencil or pen – to draw mandala
  • colored pencils, markers, or crayons – to color mandala
  • ruler
  • a variety of circular objects from around your house (pill bottle, chapstick top, water bottle cap, etc.) or a compass

Speaker: Amar Haidar

Amar Haidar is an artist working from home while studying graphic design and finishing her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. She has had an interest in art her whole life, dabbling in different mediums, switching mainly between traditional and digital art. She acquired an interest in creating mandalas from henna, a prevalent part of her culture. In 2018 and 2021 she created murals for the City of Dearborn as a part of the POP Design Team. She hopes to pursue graphic design as her career.
