HFM Ruby Connection: Harmonizing with the Spirit of Winter

Join HFM’s women’s group, the Ruby Connection, at 7-8pm on the fourth Tuesday of each month. Adult women in the bleeding disorders community come together for online social experiences that include an educational speaker or activity and connection with other women in the community. The group is open to women affected with a bleeding disorder or involved in the bleeding disorder community.

TOPIC: Harmonizing with the Spirit of Winter

The bone chill of winter can make you feel tight and tense. During our time together we will decompress with some fun, gentle, and warming stretches. Master Young will also share nine self-massage points on the acu-point meridian system to support the immune system and a tai chi meditation movement for centering.

Speaker: Wasentha Young

A practitioner in integrative and complementary health practices since 1968, Wasentha Young is the founder, owner and director of the Peaceful Dragon School, Ann Arbor, MI. She has also received formal instructions in multiple styles of meditation and self-care practices including Tai Chi, Energy Work, Acupressure, and Art. During these sessions Wasentha will share with you imagery combined with simple movement, massage and acu-points to support healthy digestion, and introduce the body mechanic to better balance through Tai Chi.

HFM is happy to treat attendees to dinner during this educational program.
Order carryout or delivery and send a photo of your itemized receipt to Laura at lolson@hfmich.org. You will be reimbursed for your meal (up to $30 per family). Please note that we are unable to reimburse alcohol purchases.
