About Eagle Expedition
Eagle Expedition is a weeklong adventure to Northern California featuring activities such as whitewater rafting, rock climbing, sea kayaking and sleeping under the stars. This adventure camp includes daily participation in adventure activities that promote both teamwork and independence, led by experienced professional guides. In addition to the physical activities, Expeditioners experience managing their bleeding disorders in a rustic, high-adventure setting.
Since its development in 2004, Eagle Expedition has been funded in honor of Andy Voegtle. It honors his visionary leadership and his monumental contributions to the bleeding disorders community. The objective is to work with young adults in the bleeding disorders community to further develop their leadership qualities while providing a memorable experience they will carry with them for the rest of their lives.
Applicants must complete an application and provide a letter of recommendation from their hemophilia treatment center stating they are an appropriate candidate for this experience.
