EAGLE OUTPOST
About Eagle Outpost
The Eagle Outpost program was developed to meet the special needs of adolescents ages 14 and 15. Participants invited on this weeklong adventure travel by bus throughout Michigan and tent camp in state parks, cook over campfires, and share s’mores and stories each night around the campfire. Activities include swimming, canoeing, tubing, hiking, high and low ropes courses, team building activities, and group discussions about bleeding disorders and related complications, including HIV/AIDS and hepatitis. Males and females with bleeding disorders are welcome.
Leadership skills are promoted and campers are given the opportunity to apply for the Counselor-in-Training (CIT) program at Camp Bold Eagle in the future.
