Understanding Accumulator Adjuster Programs

Join HFM on Thursday, September 10 at 6pm for our next Advocacy Webinar: Understanding Accumulator Adjuster Programs.

In July, the Michigan House of Representatives introduced legislation regarding Accumulator Adjuster Programs.

We invite community advocates to join us as NHF Director of Payer Relations, Kollet Koulianos, explains this emerging insurance trend that has been negatively impacting patients. Under an Accumulator Adjuster Program (AAP), a pharmacy benefit manager accepts co-pay assistance for out-of-pocket costs associated with a prescribed drug but then doesn’t credit that amount toward the patient’s overall deductible.

Kollet will break down exactly how AAPs work, why they are so harmful to patients with bleeding disorders, and how NHF has been advocating on your behalf.

Stick around for a state update from HFM Advocacy Director, Sarah Procario, and learn how you can support our advocacy efforts.

HFM is happy to treat attendees to dinner during this educational program. Order carryout or delivery and send a photo of your itemized receipt to Laura at lolson@hfmich.org. You will be reimbursed for your meal (up to $30 per family). Please note that we are unable to reimburse alcohol purchases.
