March 18-19, 2025

Lansing Days

Join your fellow community members for Lansing Days
Tuesday, March 18, and Wednesday, March 19, 2025.

As the cost of health care rises and cost-sharing shifts to patients, it remains critical that our community continues to share our voice with decision-makers in Lansing. There are legislators in Lansing who may be unfamiliar with bleeding disorders and patient needs.

We hope YOU will join us in educating the legislature on bleeding disorders by sharing your unique stories.

WHAT TO EXPECT
HFM will provide a dinner and legislative training on Tuesday evening. On Wednesday, participants will travel in groups to meet with their elected representatives to discuss the needs of the bleeding disorders community.
Specific policy issues to be discussed will be determined closer to the event date.

  • This event isĀ free of cost.
  • All members of the Michigan bleeding disorders community, including family members and community advocates, are invited to register to attend.

DRESS CODE
Tuesday, March 18 – casual
Wednesday, March 19 – business attire (no hoodies/sweatshirts, no caps/beanies)

An evening online training is scheduled for Tuesday, March 11 at 6:00 pm.Ā Look for more details to come in an email after you register!

HFM Event Attendance Policy: Ensuring Consideration for All.

Ā

At HFM, we understand that unforeseen circumstances can sometimes prevent attendance at events. Unfortunately, we’ve experienced instances where individuals or groups register for events but do not attend or notify us, which impacts planning, available space, and overall costs.

Notification Requirement:
If you or your group registers for Lansing Days 2025 and later realize you are unable to attend, please notify Zach Ryan at zryan@hfmich.org as soon as possible.

No-Show Policy

If HFM is not notified of your cancellation and you do not attend:

Future Event Requirement: A credit card guarantee will be required for the next HFM event you wish to attend.

No-Show Fee: Registration fees will be charged to the card on file if you fail to show up or notify HFM in advance.

Why This Policy is Important

Event Planning: Each registration impacts event logistics, including space allocation and budget.

Limited Capacity: Many HFM events have limited funding and space, with potential waitlists. Timely cancellations allow us to offer spots to other community members.

Expense Management: When cancellations are communicated in advance, HFM can sometimes adjust costs with hotels and venues. No-shows often result in unrecoverable expenses.

Community Consideration: Respect for fellow community members, speakers, volunteers, and staff is essential for maintaining a supportive and inclusive environment.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in helping us ensure our events run smoothly and continue to serve the HFM community effectively.

We believe offering respect and consideration to fellow HFM community members, speakers, volunteers, and staff is important. We are grateful for your understanding and support.
