Men’s Support Group

Join HFM’s virtual Men’s Support Group on Monday, March 5, 2024 at 6:00pm-7:30pm.

Invite Your Spouses to Join You!

March is Bleeding Disorder awareness month – while of course this impacts people living with the diagnosis the most, other people who are deeply impacted are the spouses of those people. Spouses often partner to care for the unique needs of their loved one living with a bleeding disorder and benefit from support and care as well. Dave and Karen will be facilitating a special topic support group inviting spouses to come, connect and discuss navigating the ups and downs of life.

This group will be facilitated by two experienced hemophilia treatment center (HTC) social workers, David Rushlow, LMSW, and Karen Boyd, LMSW.

  • All men 18+ with a bleeding disorder are welcome to join us. This month, spouses are also welcome to join!
  • This group is open to Michigan residents only.
  • The group will be limited to 20 individuals to allow for greater conversation and connection between participants

After registering, you will be sent the link for the group and sign on instructions. Please do not share this link as it is unique to you.

If you have any questions about registration please contact Kaite Scott, LLMSW, HFM Program Manager Social Worker at kscott@hfmich.org.

Registered participants that attend the program are eligible to receive a meal reimbursement up to $30. Please note that alcohol purchases cannot be reimbursed.  After the program, email a copy of your itemized receipt to Laura Olson at lolson@hfmich.org. Be sure to include your name, address to receive a check reimbursement, and your phone number.
