HFM Event Attendance Policy: Ensuring Consideration for All.

At HFM, we understand that unforeseen circumstances can sometimes prevent attendance at events. Unfortunately, we’ve experienced instances where individuals or groups register for events but do not attend or notify us, which impacts planning, available space, and overall costs.

Notification Requirement:

If you or your group registers for SpringFest 2025 and later realize you are unable to attend, please notify Shari Luckey at sluckey@hfmich.org as soon as possible.

No-show Policy:

If HFM is not notified of your cancellation and you do not attend:

  1. Future Event Requirement: A credit card guarantee will be required for the next HFM event you wish to attend.
  2. No-Show Fee: Registration fees will be charged to the card on file if you fail to show up or notify HFM in advance.
Why This Policy is Important:
  • Event Planning: Each registration impacts event logistics, including space allocation and budget.
  • Limited Capacity: Many HFM events have limited funding and space, with potential waitlists. Timely cancellations allow us to offer spots to other community members.
  • Expense Management: When cancellations are communicated in advance, HFM can sometimes adjust costs with hotels and venues. No-shows often result in unrecoverable expenses.
  • Community Consideration: Respect for fellow community members, speakers, volunteers, and staff is essential for maintaining a supportive and inclusive environment.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in helping us ensure our events run smoothly and continue to serve the HFM community effectively.

We believe offering respect and consideration to fellow HFM community members, speakers, volunteers, and staff is important. We are grateful for your understanding and support.

Special thanks to our sponsors for helping to make this weekend possible!
